the red list grows longer...

The Red List has grown longer with the recent 2006 release. Talk about mixed feelings. While it's utterly horrible that more animals have joined the ranks of the others in the list, that is inevitable given the current condition of the earth with global warming and rampant logging amidst other environmental impacts. It is however good that these animals have made it into the Red List as different countries or NGOs might take note and hence take efforts to conserve and protect them. Finally too, the polar bear is marked as vulnerable due to habitat loss as a result of global warming.
