appropriation of a verse

For the first time, convicted by God, I laboured in prayer through the night alone. As I prayed for a specific cause, I felt God speaking the words of Isaiah 62:6 to me, "...I have appointed watchmen; all day and all night they will never keep silent. You who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves; and give Him no rest..."

It was so clear that God has appointed me as a watchman that night as I prayed, to go on through the whole night, to give Him no rest until He brings about the breakthrough which He had convicted me to pray for.

By His grace I managed to pull through though I was overwhelmed halfway through and dozed off for an hour. I also learnt what it means to pray until God gives the assurance of answered prayer. When I stopped near daybreak, it was with the assurance that God has already answered my prayers and that there was no need for me to pray on further. True enough, I saw His answer the next day as the breakthrough came.

All praise be to God. It has been a good growth experience for me.
