Reflection of the Day

"For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin."

Hebrews 4:15

Only when we struggle can we then empathise with others who experience like struggles. I experienced this first hand when my friend condemned another for falling in temptation. Being a temptation I too experience and struggle with, I could understand the difficulties involved and could not go along in like condemnation.

And as I reflected on the verse above, is this not what it says about Jesus? That Jesus was tempted in all things as we are and can thus sympathise fully with our weaknesses. If I being human cannot condemn another who has like struggles as me but extend grace instead, how much more Jesus, the perfect One? He does not condemn but offers His grace to those in need.

My eyes were opened as I reflected, to see Jesus in a new light, to see Him more clearly as He really is. Truly, He is my saviour, the One I love.

Grateful.
