Reflection of the Day

"Cogito ergo sum."
René Descartes most famous quote which would be best translated as "I think, therefore I am".

While that would be true to a certain extent, it remains inadequate. I am quite convinced that a better statement of identity would possibly be:
"Jesus is, therefore I am."
That, in my opinion, would be the universal truth in answer to man's quest for identity. It is written in Colossians 1:16, 17:
"For by Him all things were created, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities - all things have been created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together."
That is the truth I need to have both in my mind and in my heart.
